The Gilvorne Fabric Floor Lamp is a single-light floor lamp with a clean, architectural line. A slim anthracite iron bar leans at a gentle angle from a cross-shaped foot. It passes up through a wide cotton drum shade, which sits just off to one side of the stem. It stands 152cm tall and 45cm across. It comes in two finishes: anthracite with a white cotton shade, or anthracite with a dark grey cotton shade. It takes one E27 bulb, not included, so you choose the colour of light yourself: warm for evenings or a little cooler for reading.

This is a floor lamp for living rooms and sitting rooms. It is happiest beside a sofa, or tucked next to an armchair in a reading corner. The cotton shade gives a soft, broad glow that works as evening light as well as light to read by. It comes with a UK plug, so it plugs straight into a wall socket and moves easily when you rearrange a room. It is not dimmable, so set the mood through the bulb you fit rather than a dimmer. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The maker states it is for indoor use only.

The frame is iron in anthracite, and the shade is cotton in white or dark grey, depending on the finish you choose. The low cross-shaped foot keeps the base neat and flat on the floor.
