Description
The Galaxy is a pair of fully lined eyelet curtains woven from yarn-dyed chenille. Chenille is a soft, dense pile fabric that gives curtains real weight and a plush hand, and here it is worked on a dark navy base shot through with fine flecks of gold. Look closely and the surface reads as a deep, mottled navy rather than a flat block of colour, with the metallic threads catching the light as the fabric moves. Every SKU in this range is sold as a pair, so the size you choose is the size of each curtain in the pair.
These curtains suit rooms where you want depth and cover rather than a bright, airy feel. The navy sits well against the moody green panelling shown here, and just as comfortably with warm woods, brass fittings and burnt-orange upholstery. Because the fabric is lined with room-darkening qualities, it is a sound choice for a bedroom where you want to hold back early light, or a living room where you watch television and want to cut glare on the screen. The heavier chenille also helps a room feel warmer by covering cold glass.
They hang from metal eyelet rings, which thread straight onto a pole and slide easily, giving those even, rolling folds you can see along the top edge. The fabric is 100% polyester, which means it is durable, keeps its shape well and, being polyester, does not absorb spills the way a natural fibre would. Sizes run from 117 x 137cm up to 229 x 229cm, quoted width by drop, so measure your pole width and the distance from ring to floor before choosing. If you want to pull the look together, there is a coordinating Galaxy cushion in the same fabric.

Frequently Asked
Is the price for one curtain or a pair?
Each size you select is a pair of curtains, so you receive two panels of the width quoted, ready to hang on either side of your window.
How do I choose the right size?
Measure the width of your pole and the drop from the ring to where you want the hem to fall. Sizes are quoted width by drop and run from 117 x 137cm up to 229 x 229cm.
What does room-darkening mean here?
The curtains are fully lined so they block a good deal of daylight, which makes them useful in bedrooms and for reducing glare on a television screen in a living room.
What is chenille and how does it feel?
Chenille is a woven pile fabric that is soft to the touch and carries a plush, dense weight, which helps these curtains hang in full, rounded folds.
Does the fabric really have gold in it?
Yes. The navy base is woven with fine golden yarn-dyed highlights that catch the light and give the surface a subtle shimmer rather than a flat, uniform colour.
