The Empress cushion is a square faux fur cushion in a warm rust orange, measuring 45 x 45cm. It is made entirely from polyester, worked into a soft, deep pile with long fibres that run through your hands. The face is divided into vertical channels of raised fur, a ribbed look you can see clearly across the front and along the side profile, which gives the cushion a good deal of loft and a comfortable, plump feel in the hand.

This is a cushion for a sofa, an armchair or the head of a bed, and the rust shade sits happily against grey, cream and other warm neutrals. It reads as a cosy, cabin-like piece rather than a crisp one, so it works best where you want a room to feel softer and warmer underfoot for the eye.
