Description

The Empress is a heavyweight faux fur throw in a deep pine green, made from 100% polyester. The face is a dense, plush pile that catches the light along its length, while the reverse is a smooth, suede-look backing in the same green, so it sits well whichever way it falls. It comes in two sizes, 130 x 180cm and 140 x 200cm, so you can pick the smaller for a single or sofa drape and the larger to cover a double bed or two people on the settee.

This is a throw for the colder months, when you want something with real weight to it rather than a thin decorative layer. Draped over the arm of a sofa it gives you something to pull across your knees of an evening; folded across the foot of a bed it adds a warm top layer you can pull up as the night gets colder. The pine green is a settled, deep shade that sits happily against natural wood, cream, grey and other muted tones, so it works in a living room or a bedroom without fighting the rest of the scheme.

The faux fur is polyester, which means it holds its plush texture through repeated use and does not shed the way some natural fibres can.
