The Bath A is a linear LED wall and ceiling light: a single slim tube, 8cm across, that glows evenly along its whole length. It comes in three sizes and two finishes, white or silver, and it fixes flush to a ceiling or to a wall. It is made of iron and polycarbonate. The 60cm size runs at 14W and gives 1350 lumens, the 90cm size runs at 22W and gives 2160 lumens, and the 120cm size runs at 30.8W and gives 2970 lumens. The light is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and it gives a warm white 2700K with a CRI of 80+.

Because the light spreads along the tube rather than from one point, it suits long, narrow spaces: hallways, landings and corridors, where one fitting can light the whole run. It works just as well over a desk in a home office or study, in a living room, or in a bedroom where you want plenty of even light without a bulky fitting. Choose by the space: 60cm for a short hall or a desk, 90cm for a landing or a medium room, 120cm for a long corridor or a larger room. It is rated IP23, so it is for dry rooms only.

It dims on a compatible triac dimmer, so you can bring it down for a softer glow in the evening. Its energy class is E. As a mains fitting, it is for a qualified electrician to install. The design is by Oriol Llahona: a clean cylinder closed with a neat round disc at each end. For styling, the white version all but disappears against a pale ceiling or wall, leaving just a line of light, while the silver version sits well beside chrome, steel or grey tones.
