Description

The AV:Link USB-C to HDMI adaptor lead converts a USB3.1 Type-C output to a female HDMI socket, allowing laptops, tablets and smartphones with USB-C ports to output video and audio to HDMI displays. The adaptor includes a built-in digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) that processes the USB-C signal into HDMI format, supporting resolutions up to 4K @ 30Hz.

Designed for presentation, home entertainment and remote working scenarios where a USB-C device needs to connect to a projector, monitor or television. The 16.5cm cable gives enough reach to position the HDMI connection away from the device port without adding slack cable to manage. The adaptor is bus-powered from the USB-C port, so no external power supply is needed for typical use cases.

The compact housing measures 240mm x 12mm x 21mm and weighs 16g, making it portable enough to carry in a laptop bag or presentation kit. The HDMI socket accepts a standard HDMI cable (sold separately) up to HDMI 1.4 specification, which carries both video and audio streams from the source device. Compatibility depends on the source device supporting USB-C DisplayPort Alternate Mode or Thunderbolt 3/4.
