Description

The Amalfi is a 63cm tall cocktail table built from two opposing truncated cones of hand-stained dark mango wood, joined at a narrow brass-effect aluminium waist. The 20cm diameter top sits above a wider base, creating an hourglass silhouette that reverses the expected proportions of a side table. The brass-effect metal ring at the centre acts as both structural joint and visual accent.

Designed to hold drinks, small plates or decorative objects at armchair or sofa height, the Amalfi works as a side table in living rooms, reading corners and bedrooms where floor space is limited but height allows. The narrow 20cm footprint means it can be placed close to furniture edges without protruding into walkways. The mango wood base provides stability despite the slim profile, with the 2.75kg weight distributed low in the hourglass form.

Each piece of mango wood shows different grain patterns and tonal variation depending on the section of timber it was cut from, so the dark stain reveals lighter grain lines in some areas and deeper brown tones in others.
