Description

The Brisa is a 30cm smoked glass pendant light with a teardrop-shaped shade suspended from a polished chrome ceiling rose. The glass is tinted with a charcoal-grey smoke finish that darkens towards the top of the shade and becomes progressively clearer towards the base, allowing downward light to pass through while diffusing upward and sideways light into a softer ambient glow. The pendant takes a single E27 bulb up to 40W.

Designed for kitchens, dining tables, bedroom reading positions and hallways, the Brisa works as a single pendant over a small dining table or bedside position, or as a cluster of two or three spaced 40-50cm apart above a kitchen island. The 30cm diameter and 40cm shade height suit ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, with the pendant typically hanging 70-90cm above a worktop or 60-75cm above a dining table depending on the cable length chosen during installation.

The smoke tint gives the glass a grey-charcoal tone under daylight that shifts to amber-black when lit with a warm-white filament or LED bulb. The polished chrome canopy reflects ceiling light and pairs cleanly with chrome taps, handles and other metallic accents in contemporary kitchens and bathrooms. The teardrop profile tapers from 30cm at the widest point to approximately 10cm at the base aperture, concentrating most of the useful task light downwards while the smoked upper portion softens what would otherwise be glare from the visible bulb.

What bulb does it take?

The Brisa takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 40W. The bulb is visible through the glass, so most users pair this with a decorative filament LED bulb in warm white (2700K) to complement the smoked glass finish. Bulbs are sold separately.

Can it be used in multiples above a kitchen island?

Yes. The 30cm diameter allows two or three Brisa pendants to be spaced 40-50cm apart above a typical kitchen island without the shades overlapping. This creates layered task light across the worktop while maintaining visual rhythm.

How dark is the smoked glass?
