Description
The Vetra is a modern globe pendant light with a 30cm opal glass sphere held to one side of a slim brushed gold metal arm. The arm rises from the ceiling fixing in a single vertical stem before angling out and down to cradle the glass at its top, giving the pendant an asymmetric, off-set silhouette rather than a conventional centred drop. A single E27 bulb sits inside the opal glass, which acts as the diffuser.
At 70.2cm overall height with a 150cm cable, the Vetra suits dining tables, kitchen islands, bedside positions and reading corners with ceiling heights from around 2.4m upwards. The off-set arm is the practical feature here: the ceiling fixing point sits to one side of the light source itself, which is useful when an existing ceiling rose is not directly above the table or surface you want lit. Hung in pairs along an island, the angled arms can be mirrored to face inward.
The brushed gold finish on the arm has a soft satin sheen rather than a high polish, so it reads as warm metallic without being reflective. The opal glass is fully opaque-white and casts an even, glare-free glow in every direction once lit. With a 3kg weight and slim 30cm globe, the Vetra works in smaller rooms where a multi-arm chandelier would feel heavy, and it pairs comfortably with wood tones, pale neutrals and stone surfaces.

Frequently Asked
Does the Vetra come with a bulb?
The pendant takes one E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED globe between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K, which suits the opal glass diffusion and keeps running costs low. Check the Specification tab for the maximum wattage rating before fitting halogen or filament bulbs.
Can the drop height be adjusted?
Yes. The 150cm cable can be shortened during installation to set the globe at the height you want above a table or island. As a guide, a typical drop above a dining table places the bottom of the globe 700-800mm above the table surface.
Is the opal glass fully diffused?
Yes. The 30cm globe is opaque opal glass throughout, so the bulb itself is not visible from any angle once installed. The glass softens the light evenly and removes glare, which makes it well suited to seating positions where the pendant sits within eye line.
Can it be used over a dining table or kitchen island?
Yes, the Vetra is designed for both. The off-set arm is particularly useful where the ceiling rose is not centred over the table, since the globe hangs to one side of the fixing. For longer islands, two Vetra pendants can be hung in a row with the arms mirrored to face each other.
