Description

The Droplet is a slim chrome pendant light shaped like an inverted teardrop, with a tapered metal stem flowing into a mirrored glass diffuser that finishes in a small clear lens. An integrated 5W 3000K LED sits inside the glass and projects a focused warm-white beam downward through the lens, while the chrome surface picks up reflections from the surrounding room.

At 8.5cm diameter and 21cm tall, the Droplet is a compact pendant designed to be hung in multiples over kitchen islands, breakfast bars and dining tables, or used singly in entrance halls, bedside positions and stairwell voids. The cable is adjustable up to 3.5m on installation, so the pendant can be set at the right drop for low ceilings or hung deep through double-height stairwells and atriums.

The mirrored chrome finish on the glass gives the pendant a fluid, almost liquid surface quality that catches and reflects light from windows, lamps and other fittings around it. Because the body is so slender, a row or cluster of Droplets reads as a series of fine vertical lines rather than a heavy bank of fittings, which makes it useful in rooms where a larger pendant would dominate. The fitting pairs naturally with polished chrome taps, handles and accessories, and contrasts cleanly against matt black or warm timber surfaces.

For larger arrangements, the Droplet is compatible with Niori's universal cluster canopies in round configurations of 3, 5, 7, 14, 24 and 36 lights, and rectangular configurations of 7, 14 and 28 lights, all finished in white. Custom drop lengths can be arranged to suit specific ceiling heights.

Yes. The Droplet has an integrated 5W LED at 3000K (warm white), so no separate bulb purchase is needed. The LED is built into the fitting and is not user-replaceable.

How low can it be hung?

The cable is adjustable up to a maximum drop of 350cm (3.5m) and can be shortened on installation. For kitchen islands and breakfast bars the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the worktop; over a dining table around 700-800mm above the surface.

Can I cluster several Droplets together?

Yes. The Droplet is designed to work with Niori's universal cluster canopies, available in round configurations of 3, 5, 7, 14, 24 and 36 lights, and rectangular configurations of 7, 14 and 28 lights. Custom drop lengths can be arranged so each pendant hangs at a different height within the cluster.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

The Droplet does not carry a published IP rating, so it is intended for dry indoor locations only. It should not be installed in bathroom zones 0, 1 or 2, or in any position where it could be exposed to water or steam.
