Description
The Vetra is a single-globe pendant light pairing a 30cm opal glass sphere with an angled polished chrome stem. The frosted glass globe is mounted off-axis to a chromed disc collar, with the stem rising from the side of the globe and bending through a sharp angle on its way to the ceiling. A single E27 lamp sits inside the diffuser, casting soft, even light through the opal glass.
Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, hallways and bedside positions where a single pendant is needed, the Vetra carries a 150cm cable that can be shortened on installation to suit ceiling height. Overall drop is 70.2cm from the ceiling rose to the base of the globe, making it suitable for ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The single-pendant format works equally well as a solo fitting or grouped in pairs and threes over longer counters.
The opal glass is finished to a soft matt exterior that diffuses the light source completely, removing visible filament glare and giving an even glow across the whole sphere. The polished chrome stem provides a cool, reflective counterpoint to the white globe, and the bent profile of the stem gives the fitting more visual interest than a straight-drop pendant. Total weight is 3kg, supported by a standard ceiling rose fixing.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Vetra take?
The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K, which works well behind the opal diffuser to give a soft ambient glow.
Can the cable be shortened?
Yes. The 150cm cable can be shortened during installation to suit your ceiling height. Over a kitchen island the base of the globe typically sits 700-800mm above the worktop.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
The Vetra does not carry a bathroom IP rating and is intended for general indoor use in dry areas such as kitchens, hallways, dining rooms and bedrooms. It is not suitable for installation within bathroom zones.
Can multiple Vetra pendants be hung together?
Yes. The single-pendant format pairs well in groups of two or three over longer kitchen islands or dining tables. Each pendant is wired to its own ceiling rose, so spacing can be set during installation.
