Description

The Zone is a 550mm diameter floor lamp built around a sculptural base of natural driftwood branches bound together in a tapered column, topped with a cylindrical canvas fabric shade over a PVC inner diffuser. The lamp stands approximately 1550mm tall and houses a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately) behind the canvas shade, which softens and diffuses the light across the room.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners where ambient lighting pairs with natural material textures, the Zone works in coastal, Scandinavian and organic modern interiors. The driftwood base gives the lamp a substantial footprint and visual weight without requiring a separate stabilising plinth, while the pale wood tones and canvas shade keep the overall presence warm rather than dark. The IP20 rating limits the lamp to dry indoor spaces.

Each lamp uses naturally sourced driftwood branches, so the exact arrangement and tonal variation of the wood differs between individual pieces. The canvas shade measures approximately 550mm in diameter and 250mm in height, large enough to diffuse light from a 60W-equivalent LED bulb across a 4m x 4m room without creating harsh shadows. The metal frame inside the driftwood column routes the cable and supports the lamp holder, keeping the wiring concealed within the structure.

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 8-12W and 2700K-3000K to match the natural wood tones.

Yes. Each Zone lamp uses naturally sourced driftwood branches, so the exact arrangement, branch thickness and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is a feature of the natural material, not a defect.

Is the lamp stable on carpets?

The driftwood base provides a wide footprint and natural weight distribution, making it stable on most carpets and rugs. On very thick or deep-pile carpets, placing the lamp where the base sits partially on bare floor may improve stability.

Can the canvas shade be cleaned?

The canvas shade can be vacuumed gently with a soft brush attachment to remove dust. For more stubborn marks, spot-clean with a barely-damp cloth and allow to air-dry fully before switching the lamp back on. Avoid soaking the fabric or using chemical cleaners.
