Description

The Zephyra is a 250mm square recessed ground light housing a single 14W LED module that tilts ±30° to direct warm 3000K light onto pathways, facades or garden features. The fitting sits flush with the ground surface once installed, with only the grey steel bezel and the two louvred light apertures visible above ground level. The IP67 rating seals the housing against dust and temporary water immersion, making it suitable for driveways, pedestrian zones and areas where surface water may pool during heavy rain.

Designed for permanent outdoor installation in concrete, paving or gravel surfaces, the Zephyra requires a recessed cavity 235mm deep to house the driver and wiring compartment below ground. The tiltable module allows the beam to be angled during installation to graze a wall, illuminate a step edge, or wash light across a planting bed without needing to relocate the fitting. The 14W output provides enough intensity to mark pathway edges at 3-5m spacing or to uplight a building facade from 1-2m distance.

The grey powder-coated steel construction resists corrosion in coastal and urban environments. The 3000K colour temperature produces a warm white light that complements natural stone, brick and timber finishes without the cold blue cast of higher Kelvin LEDs. The square 250mm footprint integrates visually with modern paving grids and architectural hard-landscaping schemes. The 400mm tail cable connects to external-grade wiring buried in conduit, with the driver housed inside the fitting's below-ground compartment.

Frequently Asked

What does the IP67 rating mean for installation?

IP67 provides complete dust sealing and protects against temporary water immersion up to 1m depth for 30 minutes. The Zephyra can be installed in driveways, pedestrian zones and areas where surface water may pool, but it is not designed for permanent underwater use or installation in ponds.

How deep does the installation cavity need to be?

The fitting requires a 235mm-deep recessed cavity below the finished surface level to house the driver and wiring compartment. The steel bezel then sits flush with the paving, concrete or gravel surface once installed.

Can the light direction be adjusted after installation?

The LED module tilts ±30° on installation to direct the beam onto a wall, step edge or planting bed. Once the surface is reinstated around the bezel, adjusting the tilt requires excavating around the fitting to access the module again, so final aiming should be confirmed before backfilling.

What spacing is recommended for pathway lighting?

For pathway edge marking, typical spacing is 3-5m between fittings depending on the beam angle and desired light level. For facade uplighting or feature illumination, position the Zephyra 1-2m from the target surface and angle the module to direct the beam upwards.
