Zephyra LED Square Recessed Ground Light 20W 3000K Grey - IP67 Tiltable

The Zephyra is a 235mm square recessed ground light with an integrated 20W LED module rated at 3000K warm white. The fitting sits flush with the ground surface and houses three separately orientable LED modules, each tiltable by ±30° to direct light onto walls, pathways or architectural features rather than straight upwards.

Designed for driveways, courtyards, commercial forecourts and landscape installations where high-output ground lighting is needed, the Zephyra carries an IP67 rating — fully sealed against dust ingress and protected against temporary water immersion up to 1m depth. The grey powder-coated steel bezel and toughened glass lens are rated to support vehicular traffic when installed in appropriate load-bearing recesses, making the fitting suitable for driveway edge uplighting where car tyres may occasionally cross the fitting.

The three-module configuration allows zoning of light direction within a single fitting: one module angled towards a wall, one along a pathway edge, one towards planting. Each module houses its own reflector and lens assembly, giving controlled beam spread rather than omnidirectional scatter. The 20W output provides approximately 1,800-2,000 lumens depending on LED generation, comparable to a traditional 150W halogen uplight but with significantly lower running cost and heat output. The 400mm cable tail terminates in IP68-rated connectors for mains junction box connection buried below ground level.

What recess depth is required for installation?

The fitting projects 250mm below ground level once installed. The installation recess needs to be at least 260mm deep to accommodate the fitting body, cable connections and any drainage provision. Professional installation by a qualified electrician is recommended for all ground recessed fittings.

Can the LED modules be angled after installation?

Yes. Each of the three LED modules can be individually tilted by up to 30° in any direction once the fitting is installed and the bezel locked in place. This allows the light direction to be fine-tuned to highlight specific features or adjust for seasonal planting changes.

Is it suitable for installation in driveways where cars may drive over it?

When installed in an appropriate load-bearing recess with correct surround support, the toughened glass lens and steel bezel can support occasional vehicular traffic. However, avoid positioning the fitting directly in wheel tracking lines where repeated heavy loading occurs.

What maintenance does the fitting require?

The toughened glass lens should be cleaned periodically to remove dirt, leaves and debris that reduce light output. Use a soft brush or cloth with clean water. Check that drainage around the fitting remains clear to prevent standing water accumulation.
