Description

The Zephyra is a 162mm round recessed ground light with an integrated 6W 3000K LED housed in a silver-finished steel body. The fitting sits flush with the ground surface, leaving only a 170mm diameter bezel visible once installed. The IP67 rating seals the unit against dust ingress and temporary immersion up to 1m depth, making it suitable for patios, driveways, garden paths and areas where occasional pooling or heavy rain occurs.

Designed for pathway marking, architectural uplighting and low-level garden accent lighting, the Zephyra provides diffused upward light rather than a directed beam. The non-orientable LED sits behind a frosted polycarbonate lens that spreads the 3000K warm white light across a wide angle, reducing glare and creating ambient ground-level illumination. The 400mm cable tail allows connection to an outdoor low-voltage or mains circuit depending on the specific transformer or driver used.

The steel construction and silver powder-coat finish give the fitting corrosion resistance in outdoor conditions, while the recessed installation protects the lens from foot traffic and light wheeled vehicles when installed into a paved or decked surface. The 6W LED output is fixed and non-dimmable, providing consistent low-level illumination across multiple fittings when used in series along a pathway or around a garden perimeter.

What does the IP67 rating mean for outdoor use?

IP67 means the fitting is fully sealed against dust and can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1m depth for 30 minutes. This makes it suitable for areas where heavy rain, pooling or occasional flooding may occur, as well as standard patio and pathway installations.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 6W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of operation, which translates to around 10 years of use at 8 hours per night.

What installation depth is required?

The fitting requires a recessed cavity to house the LED module and driver. The exact depth depends on the ground surface material, but typically 100-150mm is needed below the finished surface level. The 170mm projection refers to the outer diameter of the visible bezel once installed.

Can it be driven over?

The Zephyra is designed for foot traffic and light wheeled use (bicycles, wheelbarrows) when flush-mounted into paving or decking. It is not rated for regular vehicular loads. For driveway installations where cars will pass over the fitting, a higher load-rated ground light is recommended.
