Description
The Zephyra is a 235mm round recessed ground light with an integrated 21W LED emitting 3000K warm white light through a flush-mounted opal diffuser. The steel housing sits recessed into paving, driveways or garden beds with only the silver-finished rim and diffuser visible at ground level, providing upward-directed light that illuminates pathways, building facades, tree canopies or architectural features from below.
Designed for permanent outdoor installation in driveways, patios, garden borders and commercial forecourts, the Zephyra carries an IP67 rating meaning the housing is dust-tight and waterproof to 1m depth for 30 minutes — it withstands direct rain, groundwater pooling, pressure washing and occasional vehicle-weight loads when installed correctly. The 400mm cable tail allows connection to an underground junction box or transformer, and the 250mm total projection (installation depth) requires adequate sub-base preparation and drainage around the unit.
The steel body is powder-coated in a low-sheen silver finish that blends with grey paving and concrete surfaces during daylight. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use (roughly 8 years at 10 hours per night), and the fitting is not dimmable. The 21W output provides sufficient light for spacing fittings 2-3m apart along a pathway or using as accent lighting for garden features and building corners.

Frequently Asked
Can this be driven over?
The IP67-rated housing can withstand occasional vehicle weight when installed into a properly prepared base with adequate drainage and load distribution. It is commonly used in driveways and commercial vehicle areas. Installation should be undertaken by a qualified professional to ensure the sub-base and backfill provide sufficient support.
How deep does it need to be set?
The fitting requires a 250mm installation depth from finished ground level. This accommodates the housing body and allows space beneath for the 400mm cable tail to be routed to an underground junction box or transformer.
Is the LED replaceable?
No. The LED is integrated and non-replaceable, rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use. When the LED reaches end-of-life the entire fitting is replaced.
What spacing is recommended for pathway lighting?
At 21W and 3000K, spacing fittings 2-3m apart along a pathway provides overlapping pools of light for safe navigation. Spacing can be reduced to 1.5-2m for brighter illumination or increased to 3-4m for accent lighting rather than functional path lighting.
