This is a square cushion carrying a hand-painted watercolour Highland cow on the front, set against a soft, pale ground so the shaggy fringe and long curving horns read as the whole of the design. The face is worked in warm tans, browns and soft greys, with the paint left loose and washy at the edges the way watercolour behaves.
