Vivid 8 Light Crystal Chandelier - Ivory

The Vivid is an 8-light crystal chandelier from Ideal Lux, built around eight curved metal arms finished in ivory and dressed with faceted crystal droplets that hang from each branch and the central column. Each arm holds a single E14 candle-style bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately), and the central body features a fluted glass column with additional crystal accents suspended from a decorative top plate.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the chandelier provides ambient light and decorative presence. The 780mm diameter suits rooms of 16-25m² where the fitting acts as a central feature above a dining table or in the middle of a double-height hallway. The 520mm drop from ceiling to base allows the chandelier to sit comfortably in standard ceiling heights when paired with a short chain or flush-mounted rod. The ivory finish on the metalwork gives a softer, warmer tone than chrome or polished brass, pairing well with cream, beige and traditional interiors.

The crystal droplets are individually cut and hung on metal pins, creating movement and light refraction when the chandelier is illuminated. The combination of ivory metalwork and clear crystal allows the fitting to sit between fully traditional and contemporary aesthetics — it works in period homes but also in modern interiors where a classical accent is needed. The IP20 rating restricts the chandelier to dry indoor locations. Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs chosen — LED E14 candle bulbs rated as dimmable will allow the light level to be adjusted via a compatible wall dimmer.

What bulbs does the Vivid take?

The chandelier takes eight E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, sold separately. Most users choose warm-white LED candle bulbs at 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to match the traditional aesthetic. Total maximum load across all eight bulbs depends on the fixture rating — see the Specification tab.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

The 520mm body height plus ceiling rose and chain gives a total drop of approximately 600-700mm depending on installation. This works in rooms with 2.4m ceilings if the chandelier is ceiling-mounted or uses a very short chain. For ceilings below 2.4m, the fitting may hang too low in the centre of a room but can work above a dining table where head clearance is less critical.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, the fixture is rated as dimmable. Dimming requires dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible wall dimmer. LED bulbs marked as dimmable will work with most modern trailing-edge dimmers, but compatibility varies by bulb brand — check bulb packaging before installation.

How is the crystal maintained?

Dust the crystal droplets with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft duster. For deeper cleaning, individual droplets can be wiped with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, then dried immediately. Avoid household glass cleaners or sprays as they can leave residue on cut crystal facets.
