Vivid 6 Light Crystal Chandelier - Chrome & Clear Glass

The Vivid is a 660mm crystal chandelier from Ideal Lux with six E14 candle bulbs arranged on curved arms of transparent blown glass, mounted to a chrome-finished metal frame. Cut crystal pendants hang from each arm and from the central bowl, catching and refracting light across the room. The chrome framework provides the structural skeleton while the glass arms soften the overall profile, giving the piece a balance between traditional crystal chandelier form and a lighter, more contemporary aesthetic.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Vivid sits 530mm from canopy to the lowest crystal droplet when fitted at minimum drop. The suspension is adjustable on installation using a velvet-covered chain that conceals the cable run, allowing the chandelier to be raised or lowered to suit different room proportions. The six-bulb configuration provides enough ambient light for a 4-5m dining table or a 16-20m² living space when paired with 40-60W equivalent LED candle bulbs.

Each of the six arms curves outward from the central chrome column, terminating in a flared glass bobeche beneath the bulb holder. Crystal droplets hang on fine links below each bobeche and cascade from the central bowl, adding movement and light diffraction when the chandelier is lit or when air currents shift them. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry interior rooms only — bathrooms, shower rooms and outdoor covered areas require IP44 or higher. The chrome finish is polished rather than brushed, so it reflects surrounding colours and light sources, pairing with both warm-toned interiors and cooler greys.

What bulbs does the Vivid take?

The chandelier requires six E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W (40-60W halogen equivalent) and 2700K-3000K colour temperature. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 530mm drop from canopy to the lowest crystal pendant works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when the chandelier is hung at minimum drop. The velvet-covered chain allows the drop to be extended during installation if higher ceilings require the fitting to be lowered into the room.

Can the Vivid be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry interior rooms only. Bathrooms, shower rooms, utility rooms with steam exposure, and outdoor covered areas require IP44 or higher protection against moisture ingress.

How is the crystal maintained?

Cut crystal pendants attract dust over time. Switch the power off at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe each crystal droplet gently with a dry microfibre cloth, or for heavier dust buildup, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid spraying household cleaners directly onto the crystals or metal frame, as residue can dull the finish and leave streaks when dry.
