Description

The Vintner is a 9 light chandelier with opal etched glass shades arranged in two tiers on a satin nickel frame measuring 817mm diameter and 792mm tall. Three smaller arms radiate from the upper section while six larger arms curve outward from the lower section, each arm supporting a tulip-shaped glass shade that houses an E27 bulb (sold separately, max 60W per socket).

Designed for dining rooms with tables seating 8-10, open-plan kitchen-diners and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Vintner provides ambient light from nine directions without creating harsh shadows. The 2134mm chain allows the drop to be adjusted between 888mm and 3104mm on installation, positioning the chandelier 750-850mm above a dining surface or as a centrepiece in double-height spaces. The satin nickel finish reduces glare under daylight and pairs with both warm and cool-toned interiors.

Each opal etched glass shade diffuses light evenly, softening the output from filament, halogen or LED bulbs and reducing visible bulb glare when viewed from below. The two-tier arrangement gives the chandelier visual balance across its 817mm width without appearing top-heavy, and the central decorative sphere where the arms meet adds structural detail to the frame. The satin nickel metalwork is powder-coated for durability and the glass shades are replaceable if damaged during cleaning or bulb changes.

The chandelier takes nine standard E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining room use, giving approximately 4500-9000 lumens total output.

What ceiling height is needed?

The chandelier suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For dining tables the fitting typically hangs 750-850mm above the surface, which requires at least 2.7m ceiling height when using the minimum 888mm drop. Higher ceilings allow the chandelier to be suspended lower using the 2134mm chain length.

Is the Vintner dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulbs you choose. LED bulbs marked as dimmable will work with most trailing-edge dimmers. Non-dimmable LED bulbs may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer switch. The chandelier frame itself places no restriction on dimming.

How is the chain length adjusted?

The 2134mm chain is adjusted during installation by removing excess links before wiring the chandelier to the ceiling rose. Once installed and wired the drop cannot be changed without re-installation.
