Description

The Velas is a 160cm LED floor lamp built around two stacked spiral diffusers made from micropatterned methacrylate, mounted on a slim matte gold stem with a circular base. The integrated 18W LED sits behind the diffusers and casts 3000K warm white light through the micropatterned surface, turning the plastic itself into a softly glowing sculptural element rather than a traditional shade.

Designed as accent lighting rather than task lighting, the Velas suits living rooms, hallways, bedroom corners and dining areas where ambient light and visual interest are both needed. The 160cm height brings the light source up to eye level when standing, while the 25cm diameter of the diffusers keeps the footprint compact enough for alcoves, corners and narrow hallways. The circular base measures approximately 20cm across and weighs 3.63kg, giving stability on most floor surfaces without requiring wall fixing.

The matte gold finish on the stem and base provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass hardware, warm-toned timber and honey-coloured interiors. The micropatterned methacrylate diffusers are translucent rather than transparent, concealing the LED source completely when lit and creating a soft glow without visible glare or hotspots. The spiral form of the two diffusers creates different shadow patterns depending on viewing angle, adding depth to the design when positioned against a plain wall.
