Description

The Twist is a 150cm LED floor lamp built around a continuous spiral of brushed gold metal that rises from a 22cm circular base. An opal silicone diffuser runs the full length of the spiral, housing an integrated 40W LED strip that casts 3000K warm white light through the translucent material. The spiral twists through approximately three full rotations from base to apex, giving the lamp a sculptural presence when lit or unlit.

Designed for corners, beside lounge seating, or next to entryway consoles where ambient light is needed without ceiling fittings, the Twist provides general illumination rather than task lighting. The 150cm height positions the light source vertically across a typical 2.4m room height, distributing light upwards and outwards rather than concentrating it at table or reading level. The 2.73kg weight gives stability on bare floors and short-pile rugs without requiring fixing or weighting.

The brushed gold finish on the metal frame softens reflections compared to polished brass or chrome, pairing well with warm-toned woods, leather upholstery, and earth-toned textiles. The opal silicone diffuser hides the individual LED diodes inside and prevents hard shadows, producing a soft wash of light across adjacent walls and ceilings. The 24V low-voltage LED system runs through an integrated driver housed in the base, requiring only a standard UK 3-pin plug.

Is the Twist dimmable?

The integrated LED is rated at 40W on a 24V low-voltage system. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model and whether it supports the integrated driver. Contact us to confirm compatibility before pairing with a dimmer switch.

Can it be used in a bedroom?

Yes. The 3000K warm white light and opal diffuser produce soft ambient illumination suited to bedrooms, particularly in corners or beside seating where general background light is needed rather than bright task lighting.

How is the lamp assembled?

The lamp arrives partially assembled with the spiral frame pre-attached to the base. The opal diffuser may need to be threaded onto the frame during final assembly. Full instructions are included in the box and available as a PDF in the Downloads section above.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED strip is integrated into the structure and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of use, equivalent to around 11 years at 6 hours per day.
