Description

The Tube is a LED pendant light built from two interlocking circular rings in gold-finished metal, one measuring 60cm diameter and the other nested within it to create an offset sculptural form. An integrated 47W LED strip runs along the inner edge of both rings, shielded by an opal silicone diffuser that casts 3000K warm white light evenly around the frame rather than downwards.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan areas with ceiling heights above 2.4m, the Tube provides ambient rather than task lighting, the light spreads horizontally through the rings and reflects off surrounding surfaces. The suspension cables adjust between 50cm and 120cm drop on installation, allowing the pendant to be positioned 700-900mm above a table or worktop depending on ceiling height. The round canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and conceals the cable entry.

The gold finish is a mix of gloss and matt tones across the metal, creating tonal variation as the pendant rotates in air movement or as viewing angle changes. The opal diffuser softens the LED strip so individual diodes are not visible when the light is on, presenting as a continuous glow along both ring edges. At 1.68kg the pendant has enough weight to hang stable on the cables without excessive movement, while remaining light enough for standard plasterboard ceiling fixings when properly anchored.

The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor spaces only, this is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor covered areas. The 47W consumption is fixed and not dimmable unless paired with a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer on the mains circuit (dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model and should be confirmed before installation).

The integrated LED is fixed at 47W. Dimming is possible if a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer is installed on the mains circuit, but compatibility varies by dimmer model. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm.

What height drop is recommended above a dining table?

The suspension cables adjust between 50cm and 120cm. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the table surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The adjustable drop allows flexibility depending on your specific ceiling height.

Does the light shine downwards or outwards?

The LED strip runs along the inner edge of both rings with an opal diffuser, casting light horizontally around the rings rather than directly downwards. This makes it ambient lighting rather than focused task lighting, it illuminates the room by reflection off walls and ceiling.

Can it be used in a bathroom?
