Trimasi Spotlight 7W 3000K 50mm Dia 60mm High - Sand White

A small cylinder of light, this spotlight throws a tight, controlled beam exactly where you point it. The body is a slim barrel in sand white, a soft matt white with a fine grain to it, so the fitting sits quietly against a pale ceiling. The LED is built in and draws 7W, giving a warm 3000K light with strong colour rendering, so timber, paint and fabric all read honestly. A driver is supplied. It does not dim, so it works from an ordinary switch.

At 50mm across this is a genuinely small fitting, and that is rather the point: we reach for it where the light should be noticed and the fitting should not. The narrow beam lights a small area rather than a whole room, so it earns its place over a picture, a run of open shelves, a single vase on a plinth or a stretch of worktop. We would run a line of them down a hallway to wash a series of prints, or fit it alone above a reading chair. Warm white keeps it comfortable in living rooms and bedrooms, and it is for dry rooms indoors.

The barrel is neatly made and double insulated, and the sand finish is even all the way round the head, which matters on a fitting seen this close. Keep it clean with a dry cloth, and only when the head has gone cold; the textured white will not thank you for solvents or cream cleaner. It carries a three year warranty. How much light does it give?

It produces 560 lumens from 7W, at a warm white 3000K. The beam is narrow, so that output lands concentrated on the object you aim it at rather than spread thinly across a room.

Can it be dimmed?

No, it is a non-dimmable fitting and should be run from a standard switch. The driver needed to run it is included.

What size is it?

The head measures 50mm in diameter and 60mm high, and it weighs 0.17kg, so it stays visually light even in a small room.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated rather than a separate lamp, and it is rated for 30,000 hours of use, which is many years in a domestic setting.

Will colours look accurate under it?

Yes. Colour rendering is above 90, so paint shades, wood tones and artwork keep their character rather than looking washed out.

How should I clean it?

Switch off, let the head cool, then dust with a dry microfibre cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive creams, which can dull the fine matt texture.
