Description

This is a small single spotlight with the LED built in, so there is no lamp to source or replace. It draws 7W and gives a warm 3000K light in a narrow, controlled beam, which is what makes a compact head like this worth having: the light lands where you aim it rather than washing across the whole room. The finish is sand gold, a soft textured gold rather than a bright plated one, and a driver is supplied with the fitting. It is not dimmable, so it works best on a plain switch.

We reach for heads this small where a full-size downlight would look heavy: over open shelving, along a run of framed pictures, above a worktop, or in an alcove holding a few pieces worth lighting properly. At 50mm across, the body reads as a neat circle rather than a fixture, and two or three in a line stay quiet overhead. The warm tone suits sitting rooms, bedrooms and hallways, where a cooler light can feel clinical, and it is equally at home in a study picking out one surface.

The sand texture on the gold takes the shine off the rim and keeps fingerprints from showing. To clean it, turn the power off, let the head cool, then dust it with a dry brush or a soft cloth; keep water and sprays away from the lens.
