Description

A compact cylinder just 50mm across, this little spot puts out a tight, directional pool of warm white light rather than a general wash. The integrated LED draws 7W and reads at 3000K, so the tone stays soft against white paint and warm timber. The beam is narrow and controlled, which makes it useful where you want a single object lit and the surrounding wall left alone. A driver is supplied with it. It is not a dimming fitting, so it runs at a fixed output whenever the circuit is switched on.

It is one we suggest for accenting rather than lighting a whole room: a picture, a run of shelves, a plant in a corner, the back of an alcove. In kitchens it works well aimed at a worktop or a splashback, and in a hallway it can pick out a framed print and leave the rest quiet. The warm tone suits living rooms and bedrooms, where cooler light can feel clinical. Because the output is fixed, we would pair it with other switched circuits if you want the room to shift through the evening.

The finish is a sand white, a fine matt texture that scatters reflections and sits back against a pale ceiling instead of catching the eye. Keep it clean by switching the circuit off, letting the body lose its heat, then running a dry microfibre cloth over the outside; nothing wet near the front aperture, and no solvent cleaners on the finish. It carries a three year warranty. We stock the same body in sand black and sand gold, and the sand white in a shorter version, if you are mixing lengths across a run.
