Description

The TRIBIS II is a square recessed ceiling spotlight that drops flush into the ceiling line and runs on a GU10 lamp drawing up to 10W. It takes a PAR16 LED source giving a warm white 3000K tone at Ra 80 colour rendering, and the head adjusts so the beam can be angled where it is wanted. In US terms this is a recessed can light in a square trim, sized at 82 x 82 mm with a slim 27 mm depth above the ceiling. The directional head makes it useful for picking out a feature rather than flooding a whole room.

Because the head tilts, the TRIBIS II works well for accenting a worktop edge, a picture wall, an alcove or shelving, where the throw can be aimed at the surface that matters. Grouped along a hallway or run across a kitchen ceiling, several heads angled the same way wash a wall evenly, while a single unit marks an entrance or a reading spot. It is an indoor fitting rated IP20, so keep it to dry interior rooms and clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor position. Allow a little clearance above the ceiling for the 27 mm body when planning the layout.

Built from steel in a white finish, the TRIBIS II has a square trim that sits neatly against plasterboard and a movable head for aiming the light. The GU10 lamp is user-replaceable and runs at 220 to 240V AC, so there is no separate driver to fit, and dimming depends on the GU10 lamp chosen. Rated for 25,000 hours and weighing 494 g, it is a straightforward recessed accent fitting. Yes. The TRIBIS II has an adjustable head that tilts within the square trim, so you can aim the beam at a wall, worktop or feature rather than straight down. This makes it suited to accent and wall-washing layouts.

Is a GU10 bulb included and can it be dimmed?

The fitting takes a standard GU10 lamp at 220 to 240V AC. Whether it dims depends on the specific GU10 LED lamp fitted and a compatible dimmer switch, as the spotlight itself has no integrated driver. Check the lamp is marked dimmable if dimming is needed.

Can it be used in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. The TRIBIS II is rated IP20, which is for dry indoor use only. Keep it out of bathrooms, porches and any damp or outdoor location, and use an outdoor-rated fitting in those positions instead.

How do I clean the spotlight?

Switch off and let the lamp cool, then wipe the white steel trim with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners so the white finish stays even, and do not let moisture reach the GU10 contacts.
