Description
The Tocado is an 80x120cm portrait print on canvas, mounted to a 4cm-deep black board frame with an integrated LED light strip running around the perimeter. The print depicts a digital portrait of a figure in a sculptural red headdress against a black background, with the LED strip providing soft edge lighting that outlines the frame and creates a backlit halo effect against the wall.
Designed for feature walls in lounges, hallways, hotel lobbies and commercial interiors where bold colour and ambient lighting combine, the Tocado works as both artwork and decorative light source. The 80x120cm format suits walls with 2.4m or higher ceilings, typically hung with the centre of the frame at 1.5-1.6m from floor level. The LED strip runs on 220V mains via a concealed cable run behind the frame, eliminating the need for battery replacement.
The canvas print is heat-pressed onto black board rather than stretched over a wooden frame, giving a flat mounting surface and minimising the risk of canvas sag over time. The 4cm depth provides enough clearance for the LED strip and wiring without projecting far from the wall. The black frame edge blends into dark walls and contrasts cleanly with lighter neutrals. The red and black colour palette pairs with monochrome, industrial and mid-century interiors that can handle high-saturation accents.

Frequently Asked
How is the LED strip powered?
The LED strip runs on 220V mains power via a cable concealed behind the frame. The frame needs to be hung near a socket or wired into a wall-mounted spur, similar to installing a wall light. There is no battery option.
Can the LED be switched off independently?
Yes, if the frame is plugged into a switched socket or connected to a wall switch on the circuit. There is no on-board switch on the frame itself.
What wall fixings are required?
At 5.2kg the frame requires two heavy-duty wall plugs and screws rated for the wall type (plasterboard, masonry, timber stud). Fixings are not supplied. The frame has D-ring or keyhole hangers on the reverse — confirm the specific hanging method in the packaging before drilling.
Is the print replaceable?
No. The canvas print is heat-pressed to the black board as a permanent assembly. The frame is not designed to have the print removed or replaced.
