Description
A canvas wall art, 120cm tall, in white. At 90cm wide it is wider than a standard interior door. A piece like this sets the register of a room. Everything else can be quiet if one wall is not.
A cool colour recedes: it makes a piece read as further away and a room as larger, which is why cool tones suit small spaces better than their reputation for coldness suggests. Linen has a longer, stiffer fibre than cotton, so it drapes in heavier folds and creases more decisively. Both are the point: linen looks relaxed rather than crisp, and it is meant to. The body is MDF beneath the finish, which is what holds a panel this size flat. Solid timber of the same width would move with the humidity of the room and eventually show it at a joint.
It hangs on a d-ring. Two D-rings hang from two hooks, which spreads the load and holds the piece square. Measure the distance between the rings and transfer it to the wall — a spirit level between the two marks does the rest.
Nothing about it is delicate. The finish takes a wipe, the form has no crevice that collects dust, and there is no fabric to mark — which is the practical case for this kind of piece over a softer one in a room that gets used.
Check the fixing before the frame: weight decides whether a picture hook will do or the wall needs a plug, and plasterboard needs an anchor whatever the weight.

Frequently Asked
How does it hang?
On a d-ring, using an ordinary wall fixing suited to your wall. There is no rail or specialist bracket to source.
How heavy is it?
4.6kg.
What size is it?
90cm wide by 120cm high and 4cm deep. The full dimensions are in the specification table.
What is it made of?
Pine, linen and MDF. The full composition is in the specification table.
Is it suitable for a bathroom?
No. It is not specified for a humid room, and a damp environment will show at the edges of the finish in time.
Will it look exactly like the photographs?
Close, but not identical. Pine varies from piece to piece, so grain, tone and marking differ.
