The Taxi is a recessed LED step light built to mark stairs and steps with a low, controlled glow. It draws just 0.6W and gives 10 lumens at 4000K cool white, set into the wall beside a tread so the light washes downward across the step rather than into the eye. Does it need a separate transformer or driver?

No. The Taxi runs directly on 220 to 240V AC mains, so no separate 12V transformer or external driver is required. The LED and its control gear are built in, which keeps installation straightforward.

Can it be used outdoors?

It carries an IP54 rating, so it is splash-resistant and suited to covered or sheltered outdoor spots such as a porch, carport or steps under an overhang. Keep it clear of fully-exposed positions, direct water jets and standing water.

How is it installed?

It is a recessed fitting that sets into a prepared opening in the wall beside the steps, finishing flush with the surface. Mount it at low level so the 10 lumen output washes across the tread for clear step marking.

How do I keep it clean?

Wipe the chrome face with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry it off, avoiding abrasive pads or harsh solvents that could mark the matte finish. An occasional clean keeps the recessed lens clear so the light stays bright on the step below.
