Description

The Suria is an 81cm linear suspension light with eight individual LED modules, each housed in a square chrome frame surrounded by faceted cut crystals. A spherical opal diffuser sits inside each frame, softening the integrated 40W 3000K LED light source and creating an even warm-white glow through the crystal.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.5m and 3m, the Suria provides both ambient and decorative lighting across a linear surface. The suspension height adjusts between 25cm and 120cm from ceiling to canopy, allowing the fitting to be set 70-90cm above a worktop or 75-85cm above a dining table depending on ceiling height. The rectangular chrome ceiling plate conceals the cable entry point and houses the driver.

Each of the eight light modules sits on a shared chrome rail running the 81cm length of the fitting, creating a unified bar rather than separate pendant points. The faceted crystals catch and refract light from the opal diffusers, adding sparkle without overwhelming the space. The chrome finish is polished rather than brushed, giving a mirror-like surface that reflects surrounding colours and pairs well with stainless steel appliances, glass splashbacks and both warm and cool-toned worktops. At 2.4kg the fitting requires secure ceiling fixing into a joist or suitable anchor point.

The integrated LED is rated at 40W on 220V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model. Most modern LED-compatible trailing-edge dimmers will work, but confirmation with the dimmer manufacturer is recommended before installation.

What length kitchen island or dining table does it suit?

The 81cm length of the Suria suits kitchen islands or dining tables between 140cm and 180cm long. For islands or tables longer than 180cm, consider pairing two Suria fittings spaced along the length, or choose a longer linear pendant from the Schuller range.

Can the suspension height be adjusted after installation?

The suspension height is set during installation by adjusting the cable length between the ceiling plate and the canopy. Once fitted, the height cannot be easily adjusted without re-accessing the ceiling void and re-terminating the cable at the driver.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the power at the consumer unit before cleaning. Wipe the chrome and crystal with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks on the crystal, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the fitting, as moisture can damage the LED driver.
