The Stitch cushion is a plain velvet square measuring 50 x 50cm, finished on every edge with a hand-worked blanket stitch in a pale contrast thread. The face is unbroken velvet with no pattern to compete with, so the whole character sits in the pile itself and in the stitched border that runs the full perimeter. The composition is 100% polyester on both the front and the back, a construction chosen so the velvet keeps a consistent nap and depth of colour across the panel.
