Description
The Solstice is a 212mm LED outdoor wall light with an adjustable opal polycarbonate diffuser mounted on a powder-coated aluminium anthracite backplate. The integrated 20.5W LED delivers 3000K warm white light through the diffuser, which pivots on the mounting point to direct light upward, downward or angled across a wall surface.
Designed for external use on house walls, garden boundaries, garage exteriors and covered patios, the Solstice carries an IP54 rating for protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. The adjustable diffuser allows the fitting to work as uplight or downlight depending on the application — angled upward to wash light across render or brick, or downward to illuminate a pathway, doorstep or patio edge. The 100mm projection from the wall gives adequate clearance for the diffuser to rotate without striking the mounting surface.
The powder-coated anthracite finish is a dark grey with a slight texture that resists weathering and pairs comfortably with modern rendered facades, timber cladding, brick and stone. The opal polycarbonate diffuser is impact-resistant and softens the LED output to avoid harsh hotspots on walls or ground surfaces. The non-dimmable 20.5W LED is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use and cannot be replaced — when the LED reaches end of life, the complete fitting is replaced. Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.

Frequently Asked
Can the diffuser be angled after installation?
Yes. The opal polycarbonate diffuser pivots on the mounting bracket, allowing you to direct light upward, downward or at an angle across the wall surface. The adjustment can be made by hand after the fitting is wired and fixed to the wall.
Is the Solstice suitable for coastal or high-exposure locations?
The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes, making it suitable for most UK residential outdoor settings including covered porches, house walls and garage exteriors. For fully exposed coastal locations with salt spray, an IP65-rated fitting may offer better long-term durability.
Can the LED be replaced when it fails?
No. The 20.5W LED is integrated into the fitting and is rated for approximately 30,000 hours of use (around 10 years at 8 hours per day). When the LED reaches end of life, the complete fitting is replaced rather than the light source alone.
What colour is the light output?
The LED emits 3000K warm white light, which sits between neutral white and traditional incandescent warmth. This colour temperature suits most residential outdoor applications without appearing too clinical or too orange.
