The Savoy Stripe cushion is a 50 x 50cm square with a cut velvet front worked in fine vertical stripes. The stripes sit proud of a deep chocolate brown ground, catching the light in a warmer amber tone along each raised line, so the surface shifts between dark and glowing as you move past it. It is made from 100% polyester velvet, a fibre chosen here for its dense, hard-wearing pile and its resistance to crushing, which matters on a cushion that gets leaned on and moved about.
