Description

A small round recessed light with a slim body and a matt white rim, finished with a frosted acrylic face that softens the light before it leaves the fitting. The LED sits behind that diffuser rather than showing as a bright point, so the glow spreads wide and even instead of drawing the eye. It draws 6W, gives a warm white light of roughly 520 lumens, and needs an 80mm cut-out. The driver comes with it.

This is the sort of light we reach for when a room needs even, background brightness and nothing hanging from the ceiling: hallways, landings, a run along a kitchen ceiling, a dressing area, or a low room where headroom matters. The shallow body suits ceilings with little space above them. Output is fixed rather than adjustable, so it works best on a normal wall switch, and it suits dry rooms indoors rather than anywhere damp or exposed. Several in a line or a grid give a calmer result than one on its own.

The rim is painted a flat white with no shine to catch the light, and the diffuser is acrylic rather than glass, which keeps the whole thing light in the hand. To clean it, turn the power off at the switch, let it cool, then wipe the face with a soft dry cloth; if it needs more, a barely damp cloth is fine, but keep solvents and abrasive creams away from the acrylic. It carries a three year warranty. The wider Saona range runs on into surface flush fittings for ceilings where nothing can be recessed, in both round and square shapes and in a spread of sizes, all in the same matt white and frosted acrylic, so a house can be lit consistently whether the ceiling takes a recessed fitting or not. The LED is built in, so there is no lamp to buy.
