Description

A square of even, low-profile light for ceilings where a hanging fitting would be in the way. The LED is built in and draws 24W, putting out 2200 lumens at 4000K, a crisp neutral white that keeps whites clean and stops pale tiles and painted plaster looking yellow. Spread is wide rather than focused, so the light lands as general brightness across a room instead of pooling under the fitting. The driver comes with it, and there is no dimming to arrange: a standard switch does the job.

We reach for this where a pendant would hang too low: a hallway with a low ceiling, a landing, a small home office or a utility room. One is enough for a modest room on its own, and a pair spaced along a corridor gives steady light from end to end with nothing to duck around. The neutral tone works well over worktops, desks and laundry where you want to see colour properly. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, though: it runs from an ordinary household supply and is not one for a shower zone or an exposed porch.

The body is slim and the visible frame is matt white, so it settles into a white ceiling and reads as a lit square rather than hardware. With the power off and the fitting cool, a dry microfibre cloth across the face keeps it bright; if cooking film has settled, wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight after. The LED is integral, so there is nothing to unscrew or change. It carries a three year warranty. The range carries on in surface flush fittings, round and square, in a few sizes and in a warmer white if that suits the room better.
