Description

A wide round face set into the ceiling, with a body slim enough to all but disappear behind it. The integrated LED runs at 24W and gives a warm white light across a broad spread, so a single unit covers more floor than a cluster of small spots would. The face is matt white, the rim plain and unbroken, and the driver comes with it. Output is fixed at one level, with no dimming. It is one of the shallower recessed fittings we stock.

Sized for a 210mm cut-out, it suits hallways, landings, kitchens and utility rooms where the ceiling is low and a hanging fitting would be in the way. We reach for it in flats and loft conversions for that reason, and often in pairs down a corridor rather than a long line of narrow spots. The warm tone keeps living rooms and bedrooms comfortable in the evening rather than clinical. Keep it to dry rooms indoors; it is not one for a shower area or an open porch.

Construction is double insulated, and the matt white finish holds its flat, chalky look without picking up a sheen under its own light. For cleaning, wipe the visible face with a dry microfibre cloth when you dust the ceiling, and keep sprays and polishes well away from the diffuser. It carries a three year warranty. The wider Saona range runs alongside it in surface flush fittings, round and square, in smaller sizes as well as this one, all in the same matt white, so one look can carry across rooms with different ceilings. The LED is built in, so there is nothing to fit or change inside.
