Description

A slim round profile sits close to the ceiling line here, with a matt white rim around a frosted acrylic face that spreads light evenly rather than punching out a hard bright spot. The LED is integral and its driver is supplied, drawing 12W and putting out 990 lumens of warm white light. It is not dimmable, so it belongs on a plain switched circuit rather than a dimmer.

We would use this for general light in hallways, landings, kitchens and home offices, where you want the ceiling to stay quiet and the room lit right into the corners. The wide spread means several of them, spaced across a ceiling, give steadier cover than one central fitting, and the 130mm cut-out is a familiar size if you are swapping out older recessed lights. It suits anyone after plain, even ambient light rather than accent beams aimed at pictures or worktops. It is intended for dry indoor rooms, so keep it away from shower zones and anywhere open to weather.

The frame and diffuser are acrylic, finished in matt white so the fitting reads as part of the ceiling rather than a piece of hardware.
