Description
The Sangamo Powersaver Boost Controller is a timed switch offering three preset boost periods: 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours. The controller switches an appliance on for the selected duration and automatically cuts power when the timer expires, preventing appliances being left running unnecessarily. Three indicator lights show which boost period is active.
Designed for controlling immersion heaters, towel rails, storage heaters, underfloor heating and other fixed electrical loads that benefit from timed operation, the controller mounts directly onto a standard single-gang pattress box. The white faceplate measures 88mm square and sits flush with the wall surface once installed. The boost selection buttons are recessed behind the aperture to prevent accidental activation.
The unit handles loads typically associated with domestic heating appliances, and the automatic shut-off removes the need to remember to manually switch the appliance off after the desired heating period. The 88mm x 88mm x 44mm housing fits within standard UK wiring enclosures, and the white finish blends with typical switch and socket décor in utility rooms, bathrooms and airing cupboards.

Frequently Asked
What appliances can this control?
The Sangamo Powersaver is designed for immersion heaters, towel rails, storage heaters, underfloor heating and other fixed electrical loads that benefit from timed operation. Check the manual for the maximum load rating before connecting high-draw appliances.
Does it need a separate timer or controller?
No. The boost controller includes the timer circuit internally. Pressing one of the three buttons activates the selected boost period, and the unit automatically switches the appliance off when the time expires.
What back box does it fit?
The controller mounts directly onto a standard single-gang pattress box, the same type used for light switches and single sockets. The 88mm square faceplate covers the box aperture once installed.
Can the boost periods be customised?
No. The three periods are fixed at 30 minutes, 1 hour and 2 hours. These cannot be adjusted or programmed to different durations.
