Description

The San Marino is a 2 light floor lamp with a textured pewter metal frame supporting two curved arms, each terminating in an opal white glass shade. The lamp takes two E14 bulbs up to 40W each (included), housed within the opal glass to diffuse light evenly across a room. The 1450mm overall height positions the shades at approximately head height when standing, making this a task and ambient lighting piece rather than overhead room lighting.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners where soft, diffused light is needed without a fixed ceiling fitting, the San Marino suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The curved arms create asymmetry in the lamp head, with each shade offset from the central stem. The 360mm width at the lamp head and 200mm circular base footprint give the lamp stability without requiring a large floor area. The textured pewter finish is a mid-grey metallic with a slightly granular surface texture that softens reflections under daylight.

The opal white glass shades are smooth, not frosted, so they glow rather than appearing opaque when lit. The lamp is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs, allowing output to be adjusted from full brightness for reading to low ambient for evening use. At 9.5kg the San Marino has enough weight to remain stable on carpet and hard floors without needing to be fixed in place. The lamp is not compatible with non-dimmable LED or CFL bulbs due to the dimmer circuitry, so use only dimmable LED or traditional filament bulbs rated for dimming.

Yes. The San Marino ships with two E14 bulbs. These are dimmable bulbs rated up to 40W each. Replacement bulbs are available separately from Niori or any UK lighting retailer stocking E14 small Edison screw fittings.

Is the lamp dimmable?

Yes, but only when used with dimmable E14 bulbs. The lamp includes dimmer circuitry built into the base, so it is not compatible with non-dimmable LED or CFL bulbs. Use only dimmable LED or traditional filament bulbs rated for dimming.

What rooms does this suit?
