Description

The Royal is a large multi-tier crystal chandelier built around a polished gold metal frame and rows of clear cut-glass prisms. It is offered in two sizes: a Medium 30-light version measuring 150cm tall by 120cm in diameter, and a Large 53-light version measuring 200cm tall by 150cm in diameter. Both sizes use E14 candle lamps (sold separately) concealed within the upper crown tier.

The fitting is suspended from a circular gold canopy on three steel cables, which take the load and allow the chandelier to hang straight in tall spaces. It is sized for double-height entrance halls, stairwells, hotel lobbies, ballrooms and formal dining rooms with ceilings of 4m or more. In a stairwell the tapering tiered profile sits well on a turned cable, with the lowest tier visible from the ground floor and the gold crown framed by the upper landing.

Construction alternates four bands of vertical gold metal fins with three bands of long clear glass prisms, descending in diameter from the wide top tier to a pointed lower finial. The gold fins reflect lamp light outwards across the room while the glass prisms refract it into sharper points of light on surrounding walls and ceilings. Total weight is significant, so the fixing point must be rated for a heavy pendant load and installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

What is the difference between the Medium and Large versions?

The Medium is 150cm tall, 120cm in diameter and takes 30 E14 lamps. The Large is 200cm tall, 150cm in diameter and takes 53 E14 lamps. Choose the size based on ceiling height and the visual scale of the room — the Large suits stairwells and lobbies with 5m+ drops, while the Medium works well from 4m.

What bulbs does it take and are they included?

The chandelier uses E14 candle bulbs — 30 for the Medium and 53 for the Large. Bulbs are sold separately. Warm-white LED candle lamps around 2700K are recommended to bring out the gold finish and warm reflections in the crystal.

What ceiling height is needed?

The Medium has a 150cm overall drop excluding cables, and the Large has a 200cm drop. The cables can be shortened during installation but the tiered glass section is fixed. As a guide, allow at least 4m of ceiling height for the Medium and 5m or more for the Large to keep the lower finial well clear of head height.

How is it installed?

The chandelier hangs from a gold ceiling canopy on three load-bearing steel cables. Because of its weight and size, the ceiling fixing point must be structurally rated for a heavy pendant and installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, ideally with access equipment for stairwell or atrium fittings.
