This is a printed cotton seat pad on a natural cream ground, scattered with hand-painted highland cows and small yellow flowers. It is made from cotton slub, a fabric with a slightly uneven, textured yarn that gives the surface a relaxed, linen-look finish rather than a flat, uniform weave. The cows are printed on both the face and the reverse, so there is no wrong side to hide when the pad shifts on a chair.
