Description

The Radiara is a 25W constant current LED driver delivering a stable 700mA output to power LED lighting fixtures. The driver regulates current rather than voltage, maintaining consistent brightness across connected LEDs regardless of small fluctuations in mains voltage. It supports 1-10V dimming, allowing brightness control when paired with a compatible 1-10V dimmer switch or control system.

Designed for indoor commercial, office and residential installations, the driver fits into ceiling voids, false ceiling plenums and behind-panel spaces where LED downlights, strip lighting or panel lights require a compact power supply. The 130mm x 43mm housing sits within typical ceiling depths without modification. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments — the driver is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor locations or areas exposed to moisture.

The driver includes short-circuit, overload and over-temperature protection to prevent damage to both the driver itself and the connected LED fixtures during fault conditions. The white polycarbonate housing provides electrical insulation and thermal management for the internal components. Installation requires mains connection by a qualified electrician in accordance with UK wiring regulations.

Frequently Asked

What does constant current mean?

Constant current drivers regulate the current (700mA in this case) rather than the voltage. This maintains consistent LED brightness and extends LED lifespan by preventing current fluctuations that degrade LED chips over time.

What dimming protocol does it use?

The Radiara uses 1-10V dimming. This requires a separate 1-10V dimmer or control system to send a low-voltage signal to the driver. It is not compatible with standard trailing-edge or leading-edge phase-cut dimmers used for incandescent or halogen lighting.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the driver offers no protection against moisture ingress. It must be installed in dry indoor locations only, away from bathrooms, wet rooms, outdoor areas or any environment where condensation or water exposure is possible.

What LED fixtures does it support?

The driver powers any LED fixture or array rated for 700mA constant current operation, up to a maximum combined load of 25W. Check the LED fixture specifications to confirm 700mA compatibility before connecting.
