Description

The Prismatic recessed corner L-connector is a black aluminium junction piece that forms a 90-degree turn in recessed track lighting systems. The connector sits flush with the ceiling surface, maintaining the clean lines of the track run while allowing the lighting layout to change direction around room corners, alcoves or architectural features.

Designed for ceiling-flush track installations in retail, hospitality, galleries and residential spaces, the connector measures 225mm along both the horizontal and vertical arms, giving enough mounting surface for secure fixing into plasterboard or plaster ceiling structures. The black anodised aluminium finish matches the Prismatic recessed track profile, so the connector reads as a continuous element rather than a visible joint.

The connector accepts Prismatic track sections on both the input and output sides, with internal electrical contacts transferring power through the turn without external wiring. Installation requires cutting a corner opening in the ceiling to match the L-shaped footprint, inserting the connector, and clipping the track sections into the connector ends. The 5-year warranty covers the aluminium housing and internal electrical contacts.

Is this compatible with surface-mount track systems?

No. This connector is designed specifically for recessed track systems where the track profile sits flush with the ceiling. For surface-mount track, a different connector style is required.

What ceiling depth is needed?

The connector requires a ceiling void deep enough to accommodate the Prismatic recessed track profile plus mounting clearance. Typical installations need 80-100mm of ceiling depth above the plasterboard.

Can the angle be adjusted?

No. The connector forms a fixed 90-degree angle. For non-perpendicular turns, a flexible connector or custom track configuration would be needed.

Does it carry electrical current through the turn?

Yes. Internal contacts transfer power from the incoming track section through the L-connector to the outgoing track section, maintaining continuity for spotlights fitted anywhere along the run.
