Description

The PowerMaster 6-sided outdoor wall lantern is a white aluminium coach-style fitting with six clear glass panels and an E27 lampholder rated for bulbs up to 60W. The IP44 rating protects the internal lampholder from water splashes and solid objects above 1mm, making it suitable for installation on exterior walls in zones 1-3 (porches, patios, garden walls, garage entrances).

Designed as a wall-mounted down-facing lantern, the fitting projects 330mm from the wall and suits traditional, cottage and farmhouse exteriors where coach lantern styling is wanted. The six clear glass panels allow light to radiate in all directions when fitted with a clear filament bulb, or provide diffused ambient light when paired with a frosted or opal LED. The white powder-coated aluminium housing resists rust and surface corrosion in outdoor conditions.

The lantern measures 180mm high and 220mm wide at the base, with the hexagonal glass housing tapering upwards to a white stepped cap detail that echoes Victorian coach lamp design. The fitting mounts to a standard outdoor back plate via two screws (fixings supplied) and requires connection to mains 230V wiring by a qualified electrician. The E27 lampholder accepts any standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W, giving flexibility to choose the colour temperature and brightness level that suits the installation.

Does this lantern include a bulb?

No. The lantern is supplied without a bulb. It accepts any E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W, including LED, halogen and filament types. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 5-10W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor ambient lighting.

Can it be installed in exposed locations?

The IP44 rating protects against water splashes from any direction and solid objects above 1mm. It is suitable for porches, covered patios, garage entrances and garden walls in zones 1-3. It should not be installed in zone 0 (direct water jets or full immersion conditions) or fully exposed positions where it would face sustained driving rain without shelter.

How far does it project from the wall?

The lantern projects 330mm from the wall when mounted. This suits walls beside doorways and on porches where the fitting can sit clear of the door swing and foot traffic, but may be too deep for narrow side passages or tight walkways.

Is the white finish durable outdoors?

The aluminium housing is powder-coated in white, which resists rust and surface corrosion better than painted steel. Over time in exposed coastal or industrial environments the finish may show minor fading, but the fitting is designed for multi-year outdoor use in typical UK residential conditions.
