Description
The PowerMaster 5ft NCF LED batten delivers 5,800 lumens from an integrated 48W LED strip at 6500K daylight colour temperature, housed in a weatherproof polycarbonate body with an IP65 rating. The fitting combines an aluminium heat sink with stainless steel mounting clips and a translucent polycarbonate diffuser that spreads light at a 120° beam angle.
Designed for workshops, garages, industrial storage areas, stairwells and external covered spaces requiring high-output task lighting, the batten fits directly to wall or ceiling surfaces and operates on standard 230V mains without external drivers. The IP65 rating protects against water jets from any direction and prevents dust ingress, making the fitting suitable for damp environments, unheated outbuildings and partially exposed outdoor areas under eaves or canopies.
The NCF (non-corrosive fixings) designation indicates that the mounting hardware resists rust and corrosion in damp environments. The flicker-free LED driver eliminates the high-frequency strobing that can cause eye strain during prolonged exposure, a practical benefit in workshops and task-heavy environments. At 120 lumens per watt, the fitting provides functional efficiency without requiring dimming capability.
The 1500mm length suits ceiling runs in single or double garages, workshop benches up to 4-5m long, and storage room aisles. The daylight 6500K output closely matches natural outdoor light and provides high colour rendering for precision work where material colour accuracy matters, such as automotive paint inspection, electronics assembly, or detailed woodworking.

Frequently Asked
Can this batten be used outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating provides protection against water jets from any direction and complete dust sealing, making the fitting suitable for covered outdoor areas such as under eaves, canopies, carports and open-sided shelters. It is not suitable for full exposure to rain without a protective overhang.
Is the LED replaceable or integrated?
The LED is integrated and non-replaceable. The fitting is designed as a complete sealed unit. When the LED reaches end of life (typically after 25,000-30,000 hours of operation), the entire batten is replaced.
What mounting method does it use?
The batten fixes directly to ceiling or wall surfaces using stainless steel clips at each end. The clips accept standard fixings (screws and plugs) into masonry, timber joists or metal framework. The fitting can be surface-mounted or suspended on chains where overhead mounting is needed.
Is 6500K suitable for residential use?
The 6500K daylight temperature provides a crisp, blue-toned white light that closely matches midday outdoor light. It works well in garages, workshops and utility spaces where colour accuracy and visibility are priorities. Most residential living spaces prefer warmer temperatures (2700K-3000K) for ambient lighting, but garages and task areas often benefit from the higher colour rendering of daylight LEDs.
