Description

Bought a lamp on holiday and found the plug will not fit a British socket? This small black converter solves it. A European plug pushes into one end and the other end is moulded as a standard UK plugtop, so the lamp can be used exactly as it arrived. It is rated at 3A, which suits table lamps, floor lamps and decorative fittings rather than kettles, heaters or anything else with a heavy draw. The earth path is carried through the body, and it is compact enough to leave room for whatever shares the socket.

We sell a lot of these to people furnishing with pieces brought back from Europe: an Italian pendant, a Scandinavian table lamp, a flea market find that came home in a suitcase. It is also the quiet answer in a rented flat, where changing the plug on a lamp you did not buy is more bother than it is worth. We keep one in the workshop drawer for exactly that reason.
