Description

The JQ-37 (article ZONA JQ-37-B) is a passive infrared motion sensor that switches a connected fitting on automatically when it detects movement, then off again after a set delay. It runs on a 220-240V AC supply and houses its detection electronics in a compact black plastic body measuring Ø115 × 55 mm. It works as a standalone control for hallways, landings, stairwells, storerooms and other indoor spaces where hands-free switching is useful.

Rated IP20, this sensor is for dry interior use only and should be kept clear of damp or exposed locations. Most units of this kind offer adjustable time and lux settings, so the on-duration and the ambient-light threshold can be tuned to suit the room. We also stock a range of other PIR and microwave motion sensors plus daylight sensors to match different mounting positions and load requirements.

As a PIR motion sensor it detects body heat moving across its field of view, giving wide coverage of a room or corridor from a single mounting point. Position it so the area you want to cover sits within its line of sight for reliable triggering.
