Piper 6 Light Crystal Chandelier - Polished Chrome

The Piper is a 610mm diameter crystal chandelier built around a polished chrome drum frame from which vertical glass rods and crystal beads cascade on fine wire. Six E14 bulb holders sit inside the drum, each accepting a candle-style bulb (sold separately), with the light refracting through the glass rods and crystal droplets to create depth and sparkle.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and double-height living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Piper suits rooms where a central pendant can hang 700-900mm above a table or 2.1-2.4m above floor level without obstructing sight lines. The adjustable chain allows the total drop to be set between 892mm and 2757mm on installation, giving flexibility for different ceiling heights. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The combination of vertical glass rods arranged around the drum perimeter and suspended crystal beads below gives the fitting a layered appearance when viewed from the side, with the chrome frame visible through the glass elements rather than hidden behind them. The glass rods are precision-cut with flat facets that catch and scatter light when the bulbs are on, while the crystal beads beneath add movement and additional refraction. At 610mm diameter the Piper suits dining tables 1.6-2.2m long or entrance halls 2.5-3.5m wide.

What bulbs does the Piper take?

The chandelier takes six E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for dining room use.

What ceiling height is needed?

The adjustable drop ranges from 892mm minimum to 2757mm maximum. For a dining table the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, which requires a ceiling height of at least 2.7m. Higher ceilings up to 4.2m can accommodate the full extension.

How is the chandelier cleaned?

The glass rods and crystal beads collect dust over time. Switch off the power, allow bulbs to cool, then wipe each glass element with a dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works, but avoid soaking the wire mounts or getting moisture into the bulb sockets.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

At 892mm minimum drop plus the 794mm fitting height, the Piper extends approximately 1.7m from ceiling to lowest point when set to minimum. This is too long for standard 2.4m ceiling heights in most UK homes unless hung in a double-height space or stairwell.
