Description

The Paulson is a 584mm 2-light bar light built on a polished chrome backplate and arm frame, supporting two tubular glass shades made from vertical ribbed clear glass rods. Each shade houses a 3W LED G9 bulb (included), producing 3000K warm white light that refracts through the ridged glass surface, diffusing a soft ambient glow rather than direct spot illumination.

Designed primarily as bathroom over-mirror lighting, the IP44 rating allows safe installation in zones 2 and 3 where splashing water is present but not direct spray. The 133mm projection from the wall and 121mm height suit typical bathroom mirror configurations, providing facial lighting without creating harsh shadows. The chrome finish pairs cleanly with modern bathroom fittings and taps, while the ribbed glass adds textural detail that works in both contemporary and Art Deco-inspired interiors.

The vertical ribbing on each glass tube runs the full height of the shade, creating linear light patterns when the bulbs are on and adding visual interest when the light is off. The polished chrome arms connect the two shades to a central backplate mount, distributing the weight evenly across two fixing points on the wall. The included G9 LEDs at 3000K produce a warmer tone than typical 4000K bathroom lighting, reducing the clinical feel while maintaining sufficient brightness for grooming tasks.

Is it suitable for bathroom zones 1 or 2?

The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, where splashing water is present. It is not rated for zone 1 (inside the shower enclosure or directly above a bath) or zone 0 (inside the bath or shower tray itself).

Are the bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses standard G9 bulbs up to 3W. The included LED G9 bulbs are replaceable when they reach end of life. Ensure any replacement bulbs are also rated G9 and do not exceed 3W.

Can the light be installed in other rooms?

Yes. While designed for bathroom use, the Paulson works equally well above hallway mirrors, in dressing rooms, or as accent lighting in living spaces where the chrome finish and ribbed glass suit the interior style.

What colour temperature do the bulbs produce?

The included G9 LEDs produce 3000K warm white light, which is warmer than typical 4000K bathroom lighting and closer to the tone of traditional halogen bulbs.
